Earlier we covered adidas’ groundbreaking partnership with Parley to produce sneakers made from ocean waste, now they are officially releasing 7,000 pairs in mid-November. Some have criticized the 3 stripes for only producing 7,000 pairs when there is an abundance of plastics being dumped in the ocean [roughly 14B pounds a year], which is a bit of a skewed report.

Anyone that knows the sneaker industry knows that most successful launches of the past few years were partly thanks to a limited first release. It seems that adidas will  release more as time goes on.

Not to mention, the sneakers are absolutely gorgeous, so if helping the environment isn’t enough for you, you can rest assured that you will be wearing a sweet looking sneaker that rests on a boost sole.
