Jordan brand has an exclusive release coming up on July 11th that, as of right now, will only be releasing in Asia. The two sneakers releasing commemorate Michael Jordan’s foray into baseball in the mid-90s.

These pairs of Air Jordan 9’s differ from previous releases that paid tribute to his time on the baseball diamond because they don’t stop at just being a colorway that matches one of MJ’s old uniforms. These pairs look to be made with quality leather and feature webbing along the upper that is reminiscent of an actual baseball glove.

The heel of the brown pair has the number 35, which MJ wore on the Scottsdale Scorpions while the black pair has the familiar 45 which was his number on the Birmingham Barons. The pairs will also apparently come in a special style of packaging meant to resemble the wrapping of a deck of baseball cards. This release is the latest for Jordan Brand’s premium line of on court kicks known as the Pinnacle series and will be in limited numbers just like previous releases from the Jumpman. The brown pair will apparently be even harder to come by as their are fewer pairs of it made, which in turn will just create an even stronger demand.

UPDATE 7/7: It seems that these pairs will be released stateside on July 15th. The release date also comes with new details about the packaging of the sneakers; each pair will be wrapped and randomized just like a deck of fresh baseball cards so those who cop won’t know which colorway they are getting until they unwrap them.
